Which Authenticator app should I use?

Modified on Thu, 8 Sep, 2022 at 1:30 AM

Authenticator apps, e.g. Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy are  applications that are installed on a smart phone or tablet.   The purpose of an authenticator app is to generate a 6-to-8-digit code every 30 seconds that can be used as a one-time passcode when signing into an internet-based account or application.   There are many authenticator apps available on Google Play for Android users or the Apple App store for iOS users.

To help you choose which app to use we have included some links to more information.  The most popular are Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator and Authy, but there are others available.  This application would be installed on your own device and ATEB does not endorse or restrict the use of any.  Our system is designed to work with any.
