Following the new ‘Periodic assessment of suitability’ requirements under MiFID II, users can now create a ‘Continued Suitability Letter’. This provides the ability to confirm in writing, that existing investments remain suitable to the client’s investment objectives and attitude to risk alongside a summary of the reasons why the investments continue to meet those objectives or alternatively, a statement referring the client back to the suitability report for details on the original rationale.
To access the letter click on the green button 'Create a new Report' in the top right hand corner of the screen on the Dashboard or the Reports page (highlighted in red in the image below).
This will bring up a new 'Create A New Report' pop-up box, shown below. There is now a drop down option underneath the report name text box. The Continued Suitability Letter can be chosen from this list. Once the user presses the 'Create Report' button, the user will be directed to the editing wizard where they will be able to create their Continued Suitability Letter.
